Organize a Demonstration

Protesting or leafleting at a local KFC is a fun, effective, and easy way to show people how KFC abuses chickens. A demonstration can be as simple as one person with a sign, a stack of leaflets, and an hour to spare, or it can be as elaborate as 10 people dressed as zombies with signs that say, "I'd Rather Be Dead Than Eat at KFC." You'll be surprised at how far you can get with a friendly smile and a simple question like, "Would you like to learn about KFC?"

By holding a protest, you'll be joining thousands of people around the world who are taking to the sidewalks in front of KFCs to make sure that everyone knows how KFC abuses roughly 1 billion chickens every year.

To get started, just follow these five simple steps.

Please note: Unfortunately, we are only able to ship to the U.S. at this time. Also, this form is closed to all Canadian residents because of PETA's KFC victory in Canada. Read more here.

By filling out the form, you will automatically be signed up for PETA's A-Team. As a part of the A-Team, you will receive information via e-mail about outreach opportunities in your area and tips on how you can help animals every day. If you have questions, please e-mail

All fields in bold are mandatory.

Step 1: Tell Us a Bit About Yourself

First Name
Last Name
Zip/Postal Code
Tel. (Home)
Date of Birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
Tel. (Mobile)

Sign me up for Action Team Alerts. (You will receive one to two e-mails per week featuring local alerts and tips about other ways to help animals.)

Step 2: Choose a KFC
The best KFCs to protest or leaflet at are in busy areas where lots of people will be walking by—but if there aren't any like that in your city, any KFC will do the trick! Don't know where your nearest KFC is located? Use KFC's store locator.
Step 3: Choose a Date and Time
Although most people hold demonstrations on Saturdays and Sundays so that they can get a friend or two (or 10) to go with them, pick any date that works for you. The best times to protest are during lunch or dinner, around 12 noon to 1 p.m. or 5 to 7 p.m. It could take up to a few weeks for you to receive materials, so please consider that when planning your demo.

Step 4: Let Us Know What Materials You'll Need
Each KFC demo pack includes three posters, 50 leaflets, 30 stickers, and one DVD. Many people do demos each month, so to save money on shipping, let us know if you want more materials than what's included in the pack.
Additional Comments or Questions

Please note that PETA will cover the cost of shipping to U.S. and Canadian residents; however, activists will be asked to cover charges for UPS corrections, so be sure to double-check your address!
